In commemoration of the month of the lawyer and its 15th anniversary, Escanhoela Advogados Associados holds the 2013 Legal Week with two lectures, where the first brings an icon of Brazilian law, to transmit to lawyers in Sorocaba and region all its experience in more than 50 years of advocacy, mainly in the public and electoral areas.

The lectures promoted by Escanhoela Advogados Associados are aimed at law students and professionals to promote knowledge to all those who seek to improve in the area.

Speaker: Antonio Tito Costa

  • Graduated in Law from USP. • More than five decades of permanent professional experience in the courts and tribunals, in several Brazilian states, with special dedication to municipal, administrative and electoral law. • Member of the Academia Paulista de Direito, of the Instituto dos Advogados de São Paulo, awarded the Necklace of Electoral Merit by the Regional Electoral Court of São Paulo, in 2004. • Author of the books: 1. Responsibility of Mayors and Councilors, an analysis of the Decree-law nº 201, of 1967, Editora Revista dos Tribunais-SP, 5th edition. 2. Resources in Electoral Matters, Ed. Revista dos Tribunais-SP, 9th ed. 3. Electoral Crimes and Electoral Criminal Procedure, Ed. Juarez de Oliveira-SP. 4. Organic Law of Political Parties, Ed. Atlas/SP (out of print). • Founding member of the Brazilian Institute of Municipal Law (IBDM), founded in 1974 in Recife-PE, of which he was president in 1978. • For 10 years, he maintained a Sunday column in the Diário de São Paulo newspaper, of Diários Associados, analyzing legal issues under the title “Municipal Issues”. Author of studies published in specialized law journals, such as those edited by the Regional Courts of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina and others.
